Cookie Policy

Information pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).
Please read the following carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding the use of cookies on this website.
By browsing, accessing or using this website you indicate that you understand and accept our cookie policy.
This policy may be updated or modified from time to time and we therefore recommend that you re-read this page to keep up to date with any changes and/or updates that may have occurred.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text strings that the sites you visit send to your terminal (usually to your browser), where they are stored and then transmitted back to the same sites the next time you visit. No important or sensitive data is exchanged via cookies.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be divided into different categories:

  • technical cookies
  • statistical cookies
  • profiling cookies
  • first-party' cookies
  • third-party' cookies

Technical or Necessary' cookies

Technical or necessary cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such a service".
They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website.

They can be subdivided into:

  • browsing or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (enabling, for example, a purchase to be made or authentication to access restricted areas);
  • statistical cookies, which are assimilated to technical cookies when they are created and used directly by the "first party" site to improve its usability, or by "third parties" and tools are adopted to reduce the identifying power of the cookies (e.g. by masking significant portions of the IP) and the "third party" undertakes not to cross-reference the information contained in the cookies with other information it already has;
  • functionality or preference cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the user.

Profiling' cookies

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles and are often used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the web.

First-party' cookies

They are called 'first party' when they are managed directly by the website manager.

Third-party' cookies

When cookies are set and managed by responsible parties outside the website visited by the user.

Life' time or duration of a cookie

A cookie can be called a 'session' or 'persistent' cookie depending on how long it is stored. Session' cookies have a duration linked to the browsing session while so-called 'persistent' cookies can last a long time but you can remove them at any time if you wish.

Managing and Removing Cookies

Most browsers are initially set to automatically accept cookies. If you wish, you can disable this setting directly from your browser.
If you use different devices to access this website (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.) you will need to ensure that the browser on your device is set to suit your cookie preferences.

Here is a list with more detailed information on disabling cookies in relation to the main web browsers:

- disabling cookies on Chrome
- disabling cookie on Firefox
- disabling cookie on Safari
- disabling cookie on Internet Explorer
- disabling cookie on Opera
- disabling cookie on Edge

With regard to cookies installed by third parties, you may also manage your settings and revoke your consent by visiting the relevant 'opt out' link (if available), using the tools described in the third party's Privacy Policy or by contacting the third party directly.

Notwithstanding the above, the user may make use of information provided by the EDAA (UE), Network Advertising Initiative (USA) and Digital Advertising Alliance (USA), DAAC (Canada) or other similar services. With these services you can manage your tracking preferences for most advertising tools.

The Owner therefore advises users to use these resources in addition to the information provided in this document.

The cookies on this website

We do not use profiling cookies on this website, only the technical cookies described below:
